B. Warren Lewis · June 26, 2020 · Leave a Comment

  • They aren’t being forced
  • They aren’t effective protection
  • They reduce oxygen intake
  • The “science” and “data” driving their use is dying or nuanced
  • They are uncomfortable
  • They aren’t realistic for use with children
  • They dehumanize (source)
  • They mask intent and expression
  • They perpetuate the idea others are a threat
  • They’re isolating
  • They’re at odds with the embraces and love Christians exude upon meeting
  • Most people aren’t frightened or anxious
  • They muffle singing / worship
  • They symbolize things to which the church is opposed
  • They aren’t loving in the sense they promote viewing others as threats
  • They aren’t needed as most people aren’t at risk
  • They are divisive
  • The position on their usefulness has flip-flopped multiple times
  • Their use is at odds with the way the immune system works
  • Their use is dropping rapidly in most of the rest of the US and daily interactions
  • Their usefulness as a tool of fear is fading as new boogeymen are being highlighted
  • People are tired of them
  • They are an implement of control and submission
  • We aren’t to be manipulated by the fear of man
