Let’s have some fun with what might seem like outlandish predictions. These are in the realm of possible, but whether they are likely or not, we leave up to you 🙂
My theme is: “out of chaos springs opportunity.” There will be some dramatic shifts, counter-reactions and pendulum swings. It will be painful and healthy all at once. The fence-sitting, get-along, lukewarmness of the middle class American is going to be dramatically challenged in the areas of work, church, education, and location.
2021 Predictions
Bitcoin reaches $100k USD per BTC by 2022. The crypto concept both saves wealth storing/transference and threatens central banks facing being squeezed. They won’t adopt but their real fight will take several years.
Inflation effects everyday Americans with prices 20-30% higher prices on food and energy in particular. $5 / gallon gas by 2022. There will be certain odd categories of food / goods that experience a 50% cost increase. (flour again?)
The divisions between the safetyism crowd and everyday Americans grows. The Republican party re-forms into two new wings.
The Liberal darlings at the forefront of lockdowns will all have fallen from grace and be booted or fade (Cuomo, Whitmer, Newsom, etc.) They will be sacrificed by their own in order to preserve their movement.
As large corporations bow to the woke religion, traditional / sane competition will spring up to serve up the entertainment, culture, news, and media vacuum. This will accelerate the bifurcation of the USA (along lines of cultural values). There will be new media companies who find a way to leverage the ubiquity of internet-delivered entertainment – bypassing the gatekeepers. Perhaps not a new Netflix but new content-production houses. By 2023 Actors and Actresses will have known allegiances and have to choose sides in the industry.
2022 Predictions
Alternative education is going to see a resurgence. There will be new models that attempt an ecumenical or even neutral approach that strives firstly to build skills. It could be considered bad news from the standpoint of building well-rounded-individuals but it will be far better than the useless trash heap of public education it replaces. It will appeal to the non-woke crowd that wants their children to be superstars but isn’t particularly religious. There will be High School options for tech-skill schooling – like what you’d imagine Elon Musk or Steve Jobs forming.
She / her, He / him, and various forms of gender declaration will be everywhere and on driver’s licenses and most profiles.
Biden has a major incapacitating health event. He barely stays in office but is uninvolved.
Many conservative churches will be faced with a loss of non-profit status and have to decide whether to hide their beliefs or be bold and suffer. The middling denominations like Methodists and the various Pentecostals will be depleted by 40% as their congregants move more liberal, conservative, or uninvolved.
Chatter of state succession or or blocs of like-minded regions moves from becoming crazy talk to a realistic discussion. (that Overton Window shift) Conservatives / traditionalist will seek to protect themselves from increasing encroachment on their lives (religion, work, church, etc.) as the liberals increase the welfare state to support incompetent dependent masses. States will become starkly different on issues of taxation, entitlements, gun control, and regulation in general. A shocking 35% of the country will have moved across state lines from 2020 to the end of 2022.
By 2023 Gas reaches $7 / gallon, “oddly” coinciding with electric vehicles from major manufacturers becoming commonplace.
